Hertfordshire LEP has invested in the regeneration of South Oxhey, a South West Hertfordshire town, in order to improve infrastructure and provide much higher quality housing and retail.

Why?
Hertfordshire LEP has invested in the project as part of its commitment to re-invigorate our places for the 21st Century – one of our Strategic Economic Plan’s priorities. Re-investment is urgently needed in some our of towns, including South Oxhey, to repair their decaying infrastructure, provide high density solutions and capitalise on their excellent railway connections to London and beyond.

Impact
The overall £150m regeneration scheme will include more than 500 homes in a mix of private sale, shared ownership and affordable housing, as well as 55,000 sq. ft. of retail space and enhanced public spaces. The project is expected to be completed by 2022.

Funding
This project has received a £2.25m Local Growth Fund investment from Hertfordshire LEP.

This project was approved by the board on the 19th November 2015.
